Educational guidance, not medical care
Everything on ThatChiro — the guides, the free test, and any exercise plan — is general educational guidance. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for seeing a qualified healthcare professional who can assess you in person.
The test matches general exercise suggestions to your answers. It cannot examine you, and the same symptoms can have different causes in different people.
When to seek medical advice instead
Please do not rely on this site, and speak to a doctor or qualified clinician promptly, if you have any of the following:
- Pain after a significant injury, fall, or accident
- Numbness, weakness, or pins and needles — especially in both legs
- Problems controlling your bladder or bowels, or numbness around the groin
- Fever, feeling generally unwell, or unexplained weight loss alongside pain
- A joint that is hot, red, badly swollen, or that you cannot put weight on
- Severe pain, night pain with no clear cause, or pain that is steadily getting worse
If symptoms are sudden and severe, use your local emergency or urgent-care service.
Exercise sensibly
Exercise is generally safe and helpful for common aches and pains, but it should feel manageable. Start easy, build gradually, and stop anything that clearly increases your pain. Mild discomfort that settles by the next day is usually fine; sharp or worsening pain is a signal to ease off and, if it persists, get checked.
No guarantees
Recovery is different for everyone. We are careful to avoid promising results, and you should be sceptical of anyone who guarantees to "fix" or "cure" pain.
